November 2002
Lola came to us in November of 2002 as a rescue with a few emotional issues. She suffered from severe separation anxiety to the point of being in a panic if anyone left the house. We worked with her on the issues and made a lot of progress - but of course fell in love with her. You just can't work with a dog so much every day and not! She loves Spike, she trusts us, and I couldn't see up-rooting her again since it took so many months to get her to the point she's at now. She still isn't very happy to be left alone - and she lets you know it - but she's not as frantic or destructive as she used to be. She's actually turned into a relatively well behaved fox terrier. Of course, the term "well behaved" is as it relates to fox terriers! So I guess Lola is destined to hang around here unless she tells me she wants to move!
